Following the design-to-prototype process, the next step is often a possible pilot (zero) series. This is usually done for plastic products, which need to be tested in the correct materials. Mascal Design builds and manages (trial) moulds in its own workshop, allowing this kind of testing to be carried out with great care. These can be aluminium moulds or, where appropriate, steel moulds, depending on the expected follow-up process. For these tests, various plastics can be used, either in natural colour or coloured to specification. Subsequent series can be produced in-house.
